The Top Four Jasmine Thompson Live Performances

I've listened to virtually all of Jasmine Thompson's live recordings and I rank what I consider to be her Top 4 performances. They are listed in descending order. For this list, I only considering songs performed before a live audience.

4. Prayer in C/Sun Goes Down (Paris, France, February 20, 2015)

This performance is a "mash-up" of two of DJ Robin Schulz's international hit singles. It's an absolute treat to be able to listen to Jasmine sing Prayer in C, and she's never sounded better singing Sun Goes Down. The two songs were born to be mashed up together, and Jasmine's ethereal vocals help the songs seamlessly transition from one to the other. And when you watch the video, be sure to look for the dancing puppet in the audience!

3. Let Her Go (Milan, Italy, October 6, 2014)

If you thought her studio version of Let Her Go was hauntingly beautiful, wait until you listen to her live version. It's absolutely mesmerizing. Jasmine's angelic vocals completely captivated the live audience. It's interesting to compare the studio version, which was recorded nearly two years ago, to this more recent live version. To me, the live recording is a more mature, self-assured performance.

2. Ain't Nobody (O2, London, June 30, 2014)

This live performance of Jasmine's hit cover, Ain't Nobody, is so fun to watch. Ben Martinez's guitar backing give the song a more edgy, fast paced feel compared to the studio version. Jasmine feeds off the energy of an enthusiastic crowd and truly rocks it out. Jasmine looks like she's really enjoying herself on stage.

1. I Will Follow You Into the Dark (Bedford Pub, London, February 26, 2015)

I listened to a live feed of this performance, and I was blown away by its haunting beauty. Her vocals sound so perfectly pure, it gives you chills, especially when she sings the chorus. I listened to this song non-stop after first hearing it live, it's SO catchy and well sung. It sounds a little more folksy than her later released studio version.

The song begins at the 5:00 minute mark. The sound is a little soft so it's best listened to with headphones.

It was very difficult choosing the top 4 live performances. I could easily have chosen another 4 performances for the list!
